The Bergdoktor

Anyone who is familiar with the TV show “Der Bergdoktor” will surely recognise the Wilder Kaiser region that surrounds our holiday flats. This show was filmed at many locations around Ellmau in Tyrol and the lead actor Hans Sigl has declared this region as his second home.

True fans don’t only enjoy the dreamy alpine scenery in which Dr Martin Gruber works as the Bergdoktor (“mountain doctor”) on TV, but also up close on their mountain holidays! Twice each year, Bergdoktor weeks are also held on the Wilder Kaiser: here, everything revolves around the Kitzbühel Alps, the actors and the filming locations – and of course, the exciting adventures of the Bergdoktor in one of the most beautiful areas of Austria.

The Bergdoktor house is regularly open to visitors. You can go on various guided hikes to see other filming locations or explore the world of the Bergdoktor yourself.
