Hiking with kids – a must on your mountain holiday
Hiking should not be left off a holiday in the Alps: after all, you experience the mountains with great awareness while hiking and the feeling of success you get when you reach your goal is priceless. Depending on the size and age of your children, your family can also take longer tours to one of the area’s many summits.
Family-friendly hikes with surprising milestones are excellent for families with smaller children. Why not try the Rübezahlschnitzweg from Hartkaiser to the Rübezahlalm or the family hike through the Rehbachklamm gorge? These hikes are rich in variety and are not too tough for little legs.

A day at the Going bathing lake
Holidays and swimming simply go together: plan a day at Going’s beautiful bathing lake and enjoy the clear water and views of the Kaiser Mountains. With water slides, beach volleyball and a playground with pirate ship, there are plenty of fun things for the entire family to do on your relaxing day at the lake.

An excursion to the moor: discover the Wilder Kaiser landscape with your children
The Moor & More Adventure World is located near the Schedererhaus holiday apartments and gives you exciting insight into the Wilder Kaiser’s moor landscape. Here you will find a wonderful world of nature that you can discover on various hiking trails.
This family excursion destination can be taken on alone or as part of a guided moor hike. The Moor & More moor landscape can be reached most conveniently from the Going bathing lake.
The tourist board family programme
Five days a week the tourist board offers an exciting programme for kids and families. A torch-lit hike, treasure hunt or a walk through the moor will certainly provide wonderful memories that will stay with you long after your holiday.
